Happy Friday, Okay History friends.
It’s been a busy week. As I mentioned on Monday, we spent an evening celebrating Anonymous's recognition as a super spy.
The event took place in a very public space, but no matter, the government did a great job of pretending that something totally different was taking place inside.
And they were right in a way. Once inside, you were greeted by a wall of pictures. It was a Hall of Fame wall. There were inductees for 2024, a few people I didn’t know, so clearly, they were big-time spies, but I noticed amid smaller pictures there was a familiar face.
This Guy:
My ole buddy, Alex.
Apparently, he is a Hall of Famer spy. Who knew.
It reminded me of all the times we have spent together discussing Alex and his contributions to the country. It’s also the first anniversary of Even More Okay. If you remember what that is, you are a dedicated reader.
So for this Friday, as I unwind from a busy work week and a few days with the in-laws and making sure Blue didn’t try and kill their dog, I thought I’d share with everyone a nice chat with Alex, that I published about a year ago:
My Chat with Alexander Hamilton - by Christopher Dake (okayhistory.com)
If you are following along with the Supreme Court case involving President Trump and his immunity claim that as president, he can execute citizens and throw political opponents in jail and not face any consequences, I imagine you are having a rough day.
I have zero confidence that this will go well for the country and that Trump will somehow squeeze out another victory that will keep him in the national conversation.
But we carry on.
I’ll see you back on Monday and appreciate your continued support. Have a great weekend.
Okay,
Chris
Blue is clearly wondering what he did to deserve this treatment. You hurt his feelings, Chris. Poor Blue.
