The Maundy Monday Newsletter - This Week in History March 31 - April 6.
When I lived in SW Va the church I attended actually washed people’s feet on Maundy Thursday. I definitely drew the line at that.
For the record, almost all Catholic Churches do this. Parishioners are usually pre-picked because they are self conscience, as I would be.
For some reason, sticking the number 12 seems to be a bit much. But that's just me.
Jesus had a point; hygiene in the Biblical days wasn't a pressing concern. Besides, only friends would want to wash each other's feet to start with.
That is true. I’m most likely never going to wash anyone’s feet I don’t know.
