Very nice, but I think that you are protecting 17A from it proper derision. It is horrid, so I expect to see it soon.
As for copy editing. I guess they did not have 15 second videos in their hand to reduce their attention spans. Or they just weren't very good at it. Maybe they bullied the guy who tried to pull out a Warner's or a Strunk & White on them. Maybe they dismissed punctuation and clarity as privileged or something.
As for meeting in December. That meeting was required to be held in December of the year FOLLOWING the election. Not the year of. Congress did not have to assemble for a full 13 months after an election. So your concerns about that delay are valid but are only 1/13 as deep as they should or could be. (I get the sense that an editor would have improved that last sentence. )
Finally we spring forward on Sunday, a very (hugely) important yet Okay day in history that for some reason this year is only 23 hours long. Not that I am taking this personally, especially considering this is the second opportunity you have declined to avail yourself of to give that day its proper place in History, but that Hugely Important Date always occurs in Lent and frequently has blizzards and usually has rain but to have it be shortened just seems over the top. (Kind of like that sentence. Maybe you should offer commenters an editing service. Maybe CJD is available. He is a gud spelar. )
And I like the logo. And am looking forward to the poll. I will have my ID ready.
My only question/comment is I wonder if those ladies that drove you around in their cars in College stuffed you in the trunk first?
That is all.
Oh, it was definitely after.
Hamilton digs are my favorite OKH subplot
People keep telling me I need to see the musical. Pops told me that since I like Richard III, then I would like Hamilton because it's just a play.
Richard III is Shakespeare, for crying out loud!

Did I not make the time lapse clear? I blame the editor if I did not.
I appreciate your advocacy for the 17A. You know who liked the 17A? Norris. :)
I'm sorry to learn that your important is being cut short, but on the bright side at least your life is not. For that, I am grateful. :)
By the way. I have never been bullied as contemplated above. I do not use Strunk & White.
